Aluminum 6061-O Sheet, 0.032" Thick, 12" x 12" Reviews
Aluminum 6061-O Sheet, 0.032" Thick, 12" x 12" Feature
- Superior corrosion resistance, even in elevated temperatures
- Light weight; often used in structural applications
- Easier to machine than 5XXX alloys
- Often selected for welding and brazing applications
- Max 22 ksi tensile strength
Formability is excellent in O temper and good in the T4 temper, while machining is more difficult when compared to the other machining alloys. 6000-series aluminum plate alloys in T651 condition are easier to machine than 5000-series alloys. Corrosion resistance and appearance after anodizing are superior to all other screw machine alloys while strength is the lowest. Unlike some 5000-series alloys, 6000-series aluminium plate alloys do not suffer degradation in corrosion resistance after exposure to elevated temperatures.
